What we do

Cocoon Family Support provides new families a supportive and safe environment to talk about their experiences, meet others in similar situations and find out what support is available to them. Cocoon Family Support is run by mums who have all experienced different levels of perinatal mental health issues and are able to use their own journeys to show parents it is a recoverable condition and that things can and will get better.

“Honestly I can’t even say thank you enough. The support, the love and the encouragement that you gave me was more than I could ever have asked for. To become a first-time parent and to be in a very dark place and to still be able to find someone who can support with both as well as being genuine as you are, I thought was impossible”

"Cocoon is my time, I sit and have a cup of tea without a baby in my arms and talk to people that truly care about me. We cry together but we also laugh together, it is sometimes the only time in the week that I do that and am not sitting alone with the baby”.

"Mindfulness has helped me during breastfeeding. I'm now more present and enjoying the experience more. (Baby) picks up on the calmness"
