“The two most powerful words when we're in a struggle: me too" - Brené Brown

what is peer support?

Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other.

At Cocoon, we have all experienced perinatal mental illness and and know that we can provide understanding and empathy having been there ourselves.

Peer support helps you to:

  • meet other people with shared experiences so you can support each other
  • find a space where you feel accepted and understood
  • make new friends with shared experiences,
  • meet people who have recovered
  • experience the relief of speaking freely and sharing in a group
  • find acceptance of your illness
