VOLUNTEER ROLES

Cocoon Family Support is run solely by volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers with the right skills who feel passionate about supporting families to join our team.

Social Media Volunteer

Cocoon Family Support needs an enthusiastic volunteer to drive forward our use of social media in 2015. This is a great chance for someone with a passion for social media to put their skills to good use. The Social Media Volunteer role would be well-suited to someone with experience of social media, including using Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. The role is home based. This is a flexible, part-time volunteering opportunity, however we would like someone to be able to dedicate a small amount of time each day. No qualifications necessary, past experience or postnatal depression preferred. Content and training will be provided.

Fundraising Co-Ordinator-

Whatever level of responsibility you are looking for, whether its fundraising locally, organising events, take on adrenaline challenge or coordinate regional fundraising you can get involved with Cocoon Family Support.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join Cocoon Family Support as part of our fundraising team, to help us continue the work we have started. Whether it is organising a cake sale, raffle, charity ball or sky dive, we need your help to raise the all-important funds we need.

We ask you to dedicate a minimum of 2 hours a week. This role is home based.

 

Cocoon Family Support Ambassador -

Cocoon Family Support are looking for representatives in the community.

Have you experienced postnatal depression? Do you feel passionate about raising awareness about the illness and how our services can benefit families?

We are looking for men and women who can dedicate a minimum of 2 hours a week.

You will be asked to help us spread awareness throughout London about Cocoon Family Support.

Talk to groups in your community about our work and tell them how they can help. These may include women’s groups, clubs and societies.

Educate people about the stigma and lack of funding given to pre and postnatal illnesses

Inspire groups to support Cocoon Family Support and/or raise funds

Help us fundraise by organising your own events or by inspiring others to do so.

Look for local opportunities to raise awareness about Cocoon Family Support. For example, have a stand at a local event, or distribute literature.

Full training and ongoing support provided.

 

Become a Cocoon Trustee:

We are looking for two people to join our vibrant board of trustees for our small but ambitious charity.

We are specifically looking for an account/someone with accounting experience to become our new treasurer

We are also looking for an experienced HR professional to join our board. The charity is currently in the process of transitioning from volunteers to paid staff. We require a professional to oversee these changes. Peer Supporter

Cocoon Family Support is seeking parent volunteers to become peer supporters working with new parents affected by postnatal depression and anxiety. We are asking volunteers to donate two hours a week for a minimum of 6 months, full training will be provided.
